Ready Mix Concrete, Fair Oak

Fair Oak is home turf for CWM Aggregates. Our yard sits in the village, so ready mix concrete deliveries to Fair Oak and Horton Heath are some of the shortest runs we make. With concrete that matters: less time on the road leaves more working time once the mix reaches your site.

We supply homeowners, self-builders, groundworkers and builders across the SO50 area, from a single shed base to the foundations for a new home. If the same job also calls for sub-base, ballast or sharp sand, we can bring the aggregates for your Fair Oak project alongside the concrete.

Concrete from a yard on your doorstep
Being based in Fair Oak means we know the local roads well, from the established streets in the village centre to the newer estates towards Horton Heath. Give us your postcode and we can usually advise on vehicle size and delivery timing straight away.

Typical Concrete Jobs Around Fair Oak

Fair Oak has a mix of established family homes and newer housing, and the concrete we deliver here reflects that. Regular orders include:

  • Strip footings and trench fill for single and double storey extensions
  • Floor slabs for garages, workshops and garden offices
  • Bases for sheds, summerhouses and greenhouses
  • Driveways and hardstanding for off-road parking
  • Paths, patio bases and steps
  • Blinding layers and oversites for groundworks and new builds

Which Grade of Concrete Do You Need?

Every load is batched to BS 8500, and the right strength depends on what the concrete has to carry. As a rough guide:

  • C10 and C15 suit blinding, kerb bedding and lightly used garden paths.
  • C20 and C25 are the usual choice for shed bases, house footings and garage floors.
  • C30 and above are better for driveways, commercial slabs and heavier loads.

If your building control officer or engineer has specified a mix, send us the details and we will match it. We also supply reinforced, waterproof and decorative mixes up to C50.

Working Out How Much to Order

Concrete is sold by the cubic metre. Multiply the length by the width by the depth, all in metres, to get your volume. A 3m by 2.4m shed base laid 100mm deep, for example, comes to 0.72 cubic metres.

Ground is rarely perfectly level, so many builders add a small margin to avoid coming up short halfway through a pour. If you would rather not do the maths, send us your measurements and we will work it out for you.

Deliveries to Fair Oak and Nearby Villages

From our Fair Oak yard we deliver across Horton Heath, Bishopstoke, Durley, Crowdhill, Upham, Colden Common, West End, Hedge End and Botley, as well as further afield to Eastleigh’s ready mix concrete customers and the rest of Hampshire.

Some of the lanes towards Durley and Upham are narrow, and parked cars can make the newer estates tricky for a full-size mixer. We have smaller vehicles for restricted sites, and if barrow access is impractical we can arrange a concrete pump to place the mix where you need it.

Before the mixer arrives

Have your formwork set and checked, a clear route from the road to the pour, and enough people and barrows to place the concrete promptly. Keep an eye on the forecast too, as heavy rain or frost can affect the finish.

A Local Supplier You Can Talk To

CWM Aggregates is a family-run business, and when you call you speak to people who deal with Fair Oak sites every week. We give clear, honest pricing, practical advice on grades and quantities, and delivery slots planned around your project rather than ours. Plenty of customers who come to us for concrete also order their topsoil in Fair Oak for the landscaping that follows.
